Well, I was off to a great start today. Around 4pm my head was killing me, going through caffeine and sugar withdrawal… I had forgotten about that problem. In my stupor, I started eating some donut holes I had around and decided that it’d be fine to eat the rest of them so they wouldn’t be calling to me for the rest of the week. Well, I finished the box, and it was quite satisfying. HOWEVER, once I entered my gorging into CRON-o-meter, I realized I had eaten an entire day’s worth of calories just in donuts. Not bad eh?
I spent some time today to plan my trip to the Adirondacks – I’ll be doing the Saranac Lake 6ers Challenge, and I’m over the moon. It’s the first time I’ll be out on my own working on something like this… and I’m hoping by then I feel a little bit better about my sugar habit. I really want to eat cleanly while I’m out on this trip… and since I’m planning the whole thing I have a lot more control over what food goes on the trip.
I almost hit 13,000 steps today. I’m working on getting my feet strong enough to withstand this hiking challenge! It’s been a while since I’ve been out walking much so, I’ve got a long way to go. I should be fine by the time I get out there – none of the hikes is all that long. They’re actually a perfect way to get the body moving and challenge myself a bit. YAS. I’m so ready.
